Why is the next tranche only expected in early 2027?

Figures as of September 2026 (STATEC); this page is rebuilt at every monthly release.

Because the state acted on measured prices: the energy support decided at the October 2026 tripartite lowers prices inside the IPCN basket, and therefore mechanically delays the threshold crossing. A subsidy at the pump works as an anti-index.

Without those measures, the simulation at observed prices shows the tranche should have fallen around December 2026. With them, the political calendar aims at early 2027; STATEC publishes its firm forecast on 4 November 2026.

The tracker keeps both readings side by side: the mechanical price pressure (average 1,058.56 against a 1,064.75 threshold) and the political cap.
